Upcoming Webinar Exploring Optimising Energy Systems

We are excited to announce an upcoming webinar taking place on 26 November titled Optimising Energy Systems: Innovations in Thermal Energy Storage (TES) Technologies, organized by Euroheat & Power, a key consortium member of the TREASURE project.

This webinar will take a closer look at how TES technologies can help decarbonize EU energy systems by integrating seasonal storage solutions into district heating networks. The event will bring together experts from both research and industry to explore the technical developments of four EU-funded projects transforming energy systems across Europe through innovative TES technologies.

The TREASURE project will showcase its work on large pit thermal energy storage aimed at enhancing district heating networks across Europe through improved efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.

Alongside TREASURE, key insights will be shared from other groundbreaking sister projects - USES4HEAT, THUNDER, and INTERSTORES. You can look forward to the following topics:

  • TREASURE: Enhancing district heating networks through large pit thermal energy storage for better cost-effectiveness and scalability.

  • USES4HEAT: Demonstrating underground seasonal thermal energy storage in Italy and Norway, integrating excess heat into local networks.

  • THUNDER: Developing thermochemical material-based storages for data centers, capturing summer waste heat for winter release.

  • INTERSTORES: Utilizing natural rock formations to create large-scale TES with demonstrations in Finland and Germany, boosting storage capacity and reducing CO₂ emissions.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in energy systems, thermal storage solutions, and the future of sustainable heating. And if you want to lear more about our collaborations, click the button below.
