Introducing TREASURE consortium member - GLAPOR Werk Mitterteich GmbH.

GLAPOR Werk Mitterteich GmbH produces cellular glass gravel and boards from 100% recycled glass. Both products are mainly used in the building industry while gravel is also used for road construction and landscaping. GLAPOR boards are recently used as thermal insulation on a PTES in Meldorf, Germany. 

Role in the project

In the TREASURE project, GLAPOR works on the development of a cover on a PTES, which allows a double function to compensate the price of the land, used for the PTES.

GLAPOR also investigates how to increase the current maximum temperature of a PTES by using materials with a long life at 95°C, improving largely the profitability of a PTES project.
