Introducing AEE INTEC

Introducing TREASURE project coordinator - AEE INTEC.

AEE INTEC is a non-university research institute based in Austria, specializing in the development of sustainable energy supply concepts and hybrid energy systems. With a focus on heating and cooling networks, as well as energy storage, AEE INTEC has extensive experience in modeling, optimizing, and demonstrating advanced energy solutions. Their vision revolves around providing innovative, sustainable energy systems that address the challenges of climate change and energy demand.

Role in the project

In the TREASURE project, AEE INTEC leads Work Package 1 (Project Management) and Work Package 4 (System Integration and Performance). Their responsibilities include managing the project’s financial and administrative aspects, mitigating risks, and improving design and construction processes.

They are also responsible for optimizing the technical performance of demonstrators through numerical simulations and the development of an innovative Storage Building Information Model (S-BIM). AEE INTEC plays a key role in ensuring that the energy systems deployed are both efficient and sustainable.
