Introducing TREASURE consortium member - Aalborg CSP.

Aalborg CSP (ACSP) is a leading developer and supplier of innovative renewable technologies aiming to change the way energy is produced today. Relying on extensive experience from some of the most efficient concentrated solar power projects around the world, Aalborg CSP designs and delivers green technologies and integrated energy systems with lower cost of energy for industries and power plants worldwide.

Aalborg CSP is an engineering provider/supplier of essential key components in integrated energy systems: such as SGS, HEX and TES, hence, Aalborg CSP covers multiple applications such as, water desalination, district heating/cooling, food processing, EOR, and coal transition.

Aalborg CSP A/S is a key developer of direct steam solar tower receivers - tested and proven by a variety of demo and fully operational commercial CSP plants in the world. The unique aspects of the Aalborg CSP solar tower receiver design are rooted in the company’s long history with traditional boiler development. Nowadays one of the company’s main business areas is the renewable district heating sector with a focus on large scale solar thermal plants and heat pumps, as well as seasonal thermal energy storages such as the PTES. 

Role in the project

In the TREASURE project, Aalborg CSP’s role is to contribute to a wide variety of work packages and tasks. With a main focus on work package 3 – Development and Innovation.

Aalborg CSP aims to contribute to different tasks with hands-on experience from design, delivery and installation of PTES components and experiences from operational plants, finally helping to develop and mature the PTES technology further. Despite the involvement in several different work packages and tasks, Aalborg CSP does not intend to take a role as a leader of any task or work packages.
