Introducing TREASURE consortium member - Technical University of Denmark.

DTU is a research and education institution, with an overall goal to develop and create social and commercial value, using the natural and technical sciences to benefit society. DTU has a focus on renewable energy transition, including integration of renewables and development of renewable energy technologies. 

DTU Construct conducts research and teaching for university students in all building fields. Since 1975, the solar energy group has been working on solar energy research and education. The group carries out research on solar resources and various heat storage technologies, including water pit heat storages.

Role in the project

In the TREASURE project, DTU is leading the WP5 which focuses on the monitoring and operation of the seven demonstrators.

DTU’s expertise on the development of 3D models for large-scale seasonal TES and experimental validation against measurements will additionally provide the necessary guidance for both a component level analysis in WP3 as well as for system simulations in WP4. DTU also contribute to WP8 by developing training materials for young engineers.
